Friendships worth more than a fight

Building and keeping friendships is not easy. They take the same type of effort as any other relationship you might come across in your life. Learning when to let someone go, and when to hold on and continue a relationship, might be some of the hardest decisions you make in your life, but they are decisions that will have to be made.
A friendship will never be easy all the time. There will be times when you are mad at your friend, times when you get tired of them, and if you two are really close, there might even be times when you hate each other, but that is normal. Everyone experiences that, but a friendship should never be something in life that holds you back from anything you aspire to, brings you down or makes you feel horrible. The ability to realize when someone in your life only harms you or creates more obstacles for you is an essential tool for life.
Never allow someone to belittle you or make you feel less of a person; never allow someone to essentially control your life in any sense. If you have a genuine friend, that person will only be there to help and complement; a true friend will be with you your entire life no matter what. Sometimes you have to let people go. Just like you would break up with a boyfriend or girlfriend who is hurting you or doing you wrong, you can do same thing with a friendship.
You only can and should take so much.
Having that said, you will have to work at it and put in an effort into building a good friendship, so it will remain strong. Conflict is a part of life and learning how to communicate with your friend and work through it together will be the key to your friendship growing.
No, you guys don’t have to sing best friend songs or sit in a circle and hold hands, but you should be able to talk to your friend about problems that you have with them or with anything in your life. Always be honest. If you can’t be honest with your friends, who can you be honest with, and who’s going to be honest with you?
There is a saying that goes, a friend is not put in your life for a season but for a reason, and when you find that person they will be there forever.
