VSU shot a final round 303 to finish 13th at the Buccaneer Invitational with a 52-over 904 at the par 71, 6,733 yard Normandy Shores Golf Club Tuesday.
Host Barry won the event at 854 (+2) followed by West Florida at 860. Nova Southeastern was third at eight-over-par while Lynn and Central Missouri tied for fourth at 866. Laval came home sixth with an 870 and Brevard Community College was 14 strokes behind in seventh while Florida Tech tallied an 888 to stand eighth.
Johnson and Wales shot an 892 to finish ninth and Eckerd was 10th at 895 followed by Tampa (901) and Georgia Southwestern (902). Saint Leo rounded out the field with a 915.
Evan Hanna finished the tournament nine-over par with a 222 to tie for 33rd while Abdul Sihag tied for 46th with a 226. Clarke Hendrick tallied a 227 to tie for 56th and Will Repko was four strokes behind in 68th while Drew McGuire rounded out the squad with a 235 to finish 73rd.
The Blazers return to action April 18 when they begin play in the Gulf South Conference Championship.
