VSU shot a final round 308 to finish fourth at the Gulf South Conference Championships held at the par 72, 6,690 yard Hot Springs Country Club Tuesday.
The Blazers shot a 36-over 900 for the three-round tournament and finished 23 shots behind champion West Florida. North Alabama was second at 880 and Delta State third at 887.
Harding rounded out the top five with a 909 while West Georgia was sixth at 912.
Henderson State tallied a 914 to finish seventh followed by Arkansas Tech (921) and Southern Arkansas (948). Ouachita Baptist finished tenth at 952 and Arkansas-Monticello 11th with a 955 while Christian Brothers rounded out the field with a 970.
Austin Graham led VSU as he shot a five-over 77 on Tuesday to finish eleventh with an eight-over 224.
Abdul Sihag, who shot a team-low 76 in the final round, tied for 13th at 225 while Clarke Hendrick shot a 78 in the final round and also tied for 13th.
Evan Hanna was three strokes behind after shooting a 79 Tuesday and tied for 22nd while Will Repko tallied his third straight 77 to finish tied for 29th with a 231.
West Florida’s Carlos Rodriguez shot a one-under 215 to claim individual medalist honors.
VSU awaits word on whether or not it will advance to the NCAA South/Southeast Super Regional at Victoria Hills Golf Club in Deland, Fla. on May 2 through 4.
