Behind every successful man is a strong collegiate woman.
On Wednesday night, the Collegiate Women of VSU hosted their first annual Men’s Appreciations Dinner.
“Men do so much around campus, they deserve a home cooked meal,” India Green, president of CWVSU, said. “We appreciate them.”
Men were seated by members of CWVSU. They were excited to see the menu.
There appeared to be a friendly camaraderie as the meal commenced, with lots of smiles and laughter among the men at the dinner.
Kirsty Douglas, CWVSU financial officer, said the event was a “big deal” and thanked everyone for coming out.
Chad Lawson heard about the event through Twitter and liked it.
“My favorite part was the good service and I would come back next year,” Lawson said.
Like Lawson, Johnathon Roberts also heard about the dinner through social media.
“I really enjoyed it,” Roberts said. “My favorite part was the music.”
Music was provided by singers Iborya Jones and Shala Huntley with accompaniment from piano player Joshua Rivers.
