All was golden at the Grammys!
Lady Gaga finally proved to be more theatrical than freaky during her duet with Elton John. The two kicked off the show with an energizing performance that proved we still can’t read her poker face, and also proved that Elton John will always keep us speechless.
Taylor Swift and Beyonce shared the stage again, but this time it wasn’t because of Kayne’s big mouth. These two ladies also shared the most Grammy nominations, Beyonce with 10, and Taylor with eight. Beyonce proved to be the leading lady of the night, however, with six wins total. Her wins made her the most decorated female in the history of the show. Swift, who won four awards, may need to learn how to hold her own. The teardrops on her Grammy must have made it slippery; she dropped it during a photo shoot.
Teardrops surely filled Kristen Bell’s eyes as she received some gold of her own, just not Grammy-style. Bell’s “When in Rome” co-star, Dax Shepard, followed Beyonce’s advice and put a ring on it. Shepard popped the question over the holidays, but debuted her ring on the red carpet at the Grammys Sunday.
Although no rumors of engagement have been circulating for Lauren Conrad of MTV’s reality show “The Hills,” she has publicly announced how happy she is with her current boyfriend, actor Kyle Howard. She says that her favorite part of their relationship is that he hasn’t cheated on her like her past beaus. How sweet. Let’s hope her former roommate didn’t rub off on her. We don’t need another Speidi in the world.
Other MTV reality stars who are staying in the news include the cast of “Jersey Shore.” The cast has announced that they will be returning soon to a TV near you. It has also been rumored that the cast will receive $10,000 per episode. This may be the funding project behind Mike “The Situation’s” new fragrance line. Properly titled “The Sitch,” there is no description of the possible scent, but it could be released within the next few months. I just hope it’s not the combination scent of the gym, tanning bed, and laundromat. Yuck.
Well, I’m off to keep up with all the Oscar nominations.
