Yes, that’s right. I know, I know, you’re speechless. I’m here to tell you exactly what you’re thinking. Cherie’s Picks is back for the semester! This edition is for the upcoming week of Sept. 1. Welcome back Blazers and I look forward to updating you on all things VSU activities and events related! 

First off, remember Monday, Sept. 2 is Labor Day, so there are no classes! 

Upcoming on Tuesday, Sept. 3, American Marketing Association is hosting “Information & Interest Meeting” beginning at 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in HSBA1123. This is not just for marketing majors! VSU-AMA invites you to come out and join their interest meeting in hopes that you will become involved! 

In addition, on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 4 p.m. AMA will be hosting an additional interest meeting.  

Also, for Wednesday, Sept. 4, ENACTUS is hosting “Nellie’s Diner Pop-Up” from at 4  p.m. to 5  p.m. in the Student Union. They invite you to come out to learn more about ENACTUS while enjoying a free slice of cake from a new local restaurant, “Nellie’s Diner”. 

On Thursday, Sept. 5, the Anime Club is hosting “Anime Club Interest Meeting” from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Odum Library, room 1470. Anyone interested in anime and manga is invited to consider joining VSU’s Anime Club. At this meeting, they plan to discuss semester plans and play some games, so be sure to stop by!
