Liam Payne, a former member of the 2010s English Irish pop group, One Direction, was pronounced dead today in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  

According the New York Times, Buenos Aires emergency services reported that Payne fell three stories out of a window at the Casa Sur Hotel. The circumstances of the fall are still undetermined. 

Payne rose to fame as a member of One Direction following their debut on “The X Factor.” During their time together, the boyband released multiple hit albums that led to the group winning over 200 awards.  

Fans did not hesitate to honor Payne once they found out the devastating news. Today, fans gathered outside of the hotel where the singer died to honor his life and the everlasting mark he made in pop music. 

Celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Juicy J have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late singer. In tweet shared by Hilton, “So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing. Sending love and condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP my friend.” 

Rapper Juicy J also expressed his condolences by stating “R.I.P. Liam Payne wow I can’t believe it prayers for the family.” 

An investigation is underway into the circumstances of what occurred that caused the death of Payne. An autopsy is also being conducted to determine the details of the singers’ death.
