Cherie’s Picks Week of 11/25

Welcome to Cherie’s Picks! I am so glad you decided to drop in. As usual, I have a list of upcoming events on campus with organizations that would love for you to accompany them! Without further ado, here are the events for the week of Nov. 25.

As you all know, this week we have a break. With that being said there is not too much happening this week. The Spectator wants to wish you a happy and healthy break. Whether you will be on campus or traveling, stay safe!

On Monday, Nov. 25 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m., Reade Hall is hosting “Prepare for Finals” located in Reade Hall. Whether you will be attending this event or not, keep in mind finals are coming up quickly. This event would be a great way to start studying and even get tips from others!

Also on Monday, Nov. 25 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Brown Hall is holding a “Break with the Baddies” located in Brown Hall. Brown hall residents, your RAs would like to invite you to come hangout and destress before the break.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m., the Counseling Center will be holding “Family Matters Support Group” in Counseling Center Group Room on the 2nd floor of the Student Health Center. This support group is here to provide an outlet to you for any issues that are family related. This meeting will be focusing on coping skills for navigating difficult family dynamics and learning effective ways to regulate emotions.

Remember the break begins Wednesday. Take a little time off for yourself, but don’t forget the end of the semester is almost here!

This brings us to the end of another edition of Cherie’s Picks. I hope you have the opportunity to stop by any of these and show your Blazer pride. Be sure to stop by Cherie’s Corner each Saturday to explore the upcoming events on campus. Thank you for checking out Cherie’s Picks and I’ll see you next week!
