New TV shows and a baby Sparrow

Surprise, surprise! Here’s another week of drama, babies, and new releases from Hollywood.
MTV’s “A Shot at Love” star Tila Tequila (whose real name is Tila Nguyen) was physically assaulted by her boyfriend, NFL star Shawne Merriman, and then hospitalized Saturday night. Merriman was thrown in jail for a couple of hours after Tila’s frantic 911 call complaining he had choked her and kept her at his home against her will.
Merriman claims that he didn’t assault Tila; he only tried to stop her from driving drunk with a little “force.” The funny part about Tila’s reply to Merriman’s claim was that she said she is severely allergic to alcohol. I personally find that to be hilarious and untrue, because first of all, her nickname is Tila “Tequila,” and second of all, I’m pretty sure I saw her toast with a shot after each episode of “A Shot at Love.”
Thank goodness for the new fall lineup of TV shows coming our way. Starting this week, brand new seasons of shows like America’s Next Top Model, 90210, Grey’s Anatomy, Survivor and The Amazing Race are flowing into your living room. There are also a few new dramas and comedies added to your nighttime television schedule. The newly improved “Melrose Place” aired this week on The CW with high hopes for ratings, but sadly didn’t pull through. Als,o a new comedy, “Glee,” was added to FOX this week with much anticipation for a hit this season. Another addition to CW’s schedule is the new drama “The Beautiful Life,” starring “The O.C.” princess Mischa Barton. Seems like a good season of TV if you ask me.
Nicole Richie (of “The Simple Life”) and boyfriend Joel Madden (of the band Good Charlotte) welcomed another little Hollywood starlet Wednesday morning. Sparrow James Midnight Madden at 7 pounds, 14 ounces, now joins his big sister, 19-month-old Harlow Madden in the world of paparazzi attacks. Richie and Madden have been in love and planning their wedding for about two years now. Hopefully they’ll make it down the aisle sometime before their third and fourth baby knock on their door.
There you go Blazers, now you’re totally in the know of the industry’s latest and greatest.
