Taking notes in class could now pay off in more ways than one.
Notehall, a web based document marketplace, is giving students the opportunity to turn their school notes into cash by hiring them for its note-taker positions.
The note-taking position calls for a semester or quarter long employment term, according to Danielle A. Donaldson, brand ambassador for Notehall and vice president of Heart of Faith Campus Ministry.
The note taker is hired to submit the notes he or she took for a specific instructor’s course at his or her university.
The position requires the students lecture notes weekly and to provide either the completed instructor’s study guide or the student’s own study guide for every exam in the assigned course.
Donaldson said she does not know the specific amount employees will earn; however, the pay will consist of a generous flat rate determined in the hiring phone call. Employees will also receive commission from every document sale made.
According to the Notehall website, an employee will earn $2 for each study guide they sell and $1 for all other documents. Employees will also earn an unspecified amount for every time his or her uploaded documents are viewed.
“The application process is really simple,” said Donaldson. The applicants will be asked to enter the classes they are enrolled in, their name, e-mail address and phone number.
“Once the online application is completed, the applicant will receive a phone call from a Notehall representative within the week,” she said.
This representative will perform a routine interview in order to determine whether or not a candidate is qualified. The job starts the week the applicant is hired.
