Continue experiencing love
Valentine’s may be over, but you can still show your affection for the one that you love. Here are some places you can go and things that you can do to turn your Valentine’s Day into your Valentine’s Weekend.
1. Everyone wants to wake up to the smell of home cooking at least one day of their lives, so why not have breakfast ready for them when they first open their eyes? Breakfast-in-bed is a great inexpensive way to prove your love and admiration. It’ll definitely put a smile on someone’s face.
2. Brand new movie “Safe Haven” has premiered Thursday and tells the story of a young woman who’s learning how to love again after meeting a widow. This romantic drama is based on Nicholas Sparks’ novel, who also wrote “The Notebook” and “Dear John.” Movie times are as follows: 1:30, 2:30, 4:20, 5:15, 7, 8 and 9:35 p.m. on today, Saturday and Sunday. So, grab your date and head to Valdosta Stadium Cinemas. To read more about “Safe Haven” or to find other movie listings, visit fandango.com/valdostastadiumcinemas_aajih/theaterpage?date=2/17/2013.
3. Covington’s Dining and Catering may give you “a taste of elegance.” Located on 310 N. Patterson Street, Covington’s serves not only as a restaurant but as a full service catering and event planning business. On their menu, they have angel hair pasta with marinara sauce and a house salad, blackened or grilled tilapia, hamburgers and cheese burgers, wraps, side items and more. If this is a place that you think your date may like, check out the prices and more at covingtonscatering.com/index.html.
4. If it’s too cold outside, and you’d rather be in a warm surrounding, grab some DVDs and your loved one and curl up on the couch with a blanket. There’s nothing wrong with having a movie night, or even a movie day. Just block out the world for a bit and enjoy being with him or her.
This weekend, you should drown yourself in kisses, romance and sweet love. Don’t wait for next year’s V-Day to roll around, live for today and in the moment.
