Hello, World — Anthony here bringing you all the events in pop culture that had us talking this past week.
Now that the whole government shutdown is over, everyone can get back to more important matters like the music career of the Jonas Brothers.
Rumors began swirling about the state of the band, which no one has cared about in the last five years, last week when their publicist announced their forthcoming tour was cancelled.
While no official reason was given for the cancellation, that didn’t stop bloggers and social media users from adding to the speculation.
Some reports had Nick wanting more money, some said that Joe was dealing with a drug problem and others said Kevin just wanted to focus on the impending arrival of his first child.
Regardless, there’s no sign of the trio getting back together anytime soon, so it might be time to start putting that JoBros paraphernalia up on eBay.
Speaking of things falling apart, filmmakers over the adaptation of the Fifty Shades of Grey book series are scrambling to find a new lead for the character of Christian Grey.
It was announced that Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the film due to prior filming commitments with his TV show, “Sons of Anarchy.”
Fans weren’t too pleased with Hunnam as Christian Grey in the first place, so maybe this is a chance for producers to give the fans what they want.
Apparently Ian Somerhalder is the top choice with Alexander Skarsgard coming in a close second
Britney Spears is on top of the world right now with her hit new single “Work Bitch” blazing up the charts and her impending Vegas residency only months away.
This week Ms. Spears gave her fans another treat by releasing the title of her forthcoming album.
The pop princess’s eighth album will hit shelves on Dec 3, just in time for Christmas. Titled simply “Britney Jean,” the album is said to be her most personal yet.
That’s it for Pop Addict this week. Be sure to check back next week to catch up with some of your favorite celebrities.
