College is worth the pay

By: Tierra Francois

With all the money, time and sacrifices made to be in college, one main question arises: Will it all be worth it in the end?

The average debt for a student attending college for four years is about $29,400. With all that money being spent, you would really hope to have a decent job waiting for you when you graduate.

Even though this is not always the case, researchers say that yes, college is still definitely worth all the money. A study shown in an article called “The Higher Education” said that a bachelor’s degree in 2013 was worth $272,693 and has increased to about $300,000 today.

The debt that comes with attending college is always on a student’s mind. Students should try to focus on the bigger picture and think of how it will all pay off.

The fact that a degree never expires is something to really think about. A degree is something no one can take from you. Graduating is also a major factor on deciding if college is worth it. If you do not graduate, not only have you wasted time and money, but you still are in debt.

Many people do not realize how much more money you can save by finishing school rather than dropping out. Every cent you spend on college is a personal investment for your future.

Education is something you should spend your last dime on. Paying to have someone teach you the things you need to know to better your future is priceless.
