Damn, Yankees tells the story of baseball fan Joe Boyd (Jake Alley) as he sells his soul to a salesman named Applegate (Joel Moseley), who turns out to be the Devil, to get a chance to lead his favorite team, the Washington Senators, in a pennant race against the New York Yankees.
“The music is great. Most people know the song ‘Heart,’” Jacque Wheeler, director, said. “Lots of folks are familiar with the song ‘Whatever Lola Wants.’ This one is for entertainment.”
She hopes the audience will have a good time with this production.
“It’s really intense and the music is really big,” Shelby Nichols, who plays Joe Hardy, said.
For Nichols’ entrance as Joe Hardy, the talented baseball player Joe Boyd becomes after selling his soul, the music is very intense, which is why it is his favorite part of the show.
