VSU students have the chance to receive free tickets to the Jacksonville Jaguars game.
The Jaguars are scheduled to take on the Tennessee Titans Oct. 3 at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium at 1 p.m.
VSU Student Life Office is offering this opportunity until Friday.
Students interested in getting put on the list to receive a ticket will need to go the Student Life Office with their student ID and tell them you want to sign up for the Jaguar tickets.
“The list for the amount of tickets we were giving out is full as of right now, but we do have a waiting list for students, which currently holds 12 students now,” Antoine Rice, VSU Student Life student assitant, said.
If a student who is on the list to get a ticket does not show up or doesn’t come to pick up their ticket, the students on the waiting list will then be contacted and given a ticket in descending order.
Game attendees will be given a hot dog, popcorn, and a drink at the game compliments of
Student Life.
Students at VSU have expressed mixed emotions upon hearing about the free Jaguars tickets.
“I did not even know VSU ever gave out free tickets to anything,”said Kendall Jenkins, freshman undecided major. “If I would have known about the Jaguars tickets I would have definitely tried to get one.”
Jakira Jackson, sophomore criminal justice major, said, “I believe that it is great that Student Life is giving out free tickets but it would have been even better if it was publicized and I knew about. I will make sure that the next event they have I will be the first person there.”
VSU Student Life hosts a lot of events and services.
