 First Friday happens on the First Friday of every month. Every month has different events and specials from the downtown Valdosta restaurants and shops.   Throughout the night, those in attendance have the opportunity to eat the food that is being offered by the businesses and enjoy the music, which is provided by a local band.
 Certain restaurants offer dinner specials on their amazing entrees and alcoholic drink specials.
 College students can walk around the streets of a unique downtown area, take pictures in Bennie’s Alley or spend time in the boutiques that operate beyond normal business hours.
 Last month the activities on First Friday inlcuded wine tasting, a free shampoo and blow dry at local salons, 10% off purchases at Elli’s Boutique, Art Displays by local artists and entertainment and dinner specials at 306 North.
